Cutleaf Stephanandra is a graceful, low spreading plant. Miniature maple-like leaves unfold a reddish-bronze. Small white flowers in late May. Excellent plant for covering banks or cascading over rocks or walls. AWARDS: AGM, PSC

'White Hedge'

‘Asessippi’

An early flowering hybrid with single, pale lavender blossoms. It’s very fragrant and does not get leggy. One of the earliest lilacs to bloom which makes it especially good for retail. (S. x hycinthiflora)

Alexander's Pink'

(Syringa ‘Baildust’ ppaf) A new addition to the Neil Holland Fairy Tale series (Syringa meyeri ‘Palibin’ x S. m. ‘Superba’.) ‘Lilac Sunday’
New from the Arnold Arboretum, grown from seed supplied

by the Beijing Botanical Garden. Pale purple, fragrant flowers appear in mid-May and are produced in abundance. The flowers are produced in panicles not only at the branch tips, but also at the lateral buds. Excellent mildew resistace. (S. x chinensis, Alexander)

This seedling of S. julianae ‘Hers’ that may be well be a cross with Syringa meyeri. It has dark reddish purple blooms that fade to a pale pink. The leaves are small like meyeri and branches do not weep like ‘Hers’ but come out horizontally. (S. x , Max Peterson) Zone 2, 4-6 feet Full Sun
